Burnham, a entrepreneur of the most ingenious kind, selling trumped up 'fancy fowls' and then publishing Hen Fever exposing the humbuggery. The reprint was published with the same intent, to expose the 'humbuggery' of another questionable event, declaring that "Hen Fever" may, in fact be the elder sister to the New Deal!
