1 Martin, Jacqueline Briggs; Azarian, Mary Snowflake Bentley
New York Houghton Mifflin Books for Children 1998 0395861624 / 9780395861622 Hardcover Very Good in Very Good dust jacket Illustrated by Mary Azarian
6th Printing. The good news. This is a beautiful clean book, a Caldocot winner w/sticker in place. A wonderful biography of Wilson Bentley who was the first to capture the image of a snowflakes by attaching a bellows camera to a compound microscope. Bentley discribed snowflakes as "tiny miracles of beauty" and snow crystals as "ice flowers." Now the bad news. In PINK highlighter, on both pastedown and fly leaf there are two differnt (adult & child?) owner's names. The top edges of the dust jacket show some healthy shelf wear but there are no tears or chips. ; Caldecott Medal Book; 0.47 x 10.16 x 10.16 Inches; 32 pages
Price: 13.50 USD
